Graffiti is an urban artform that takes root from the streets. It is being recognized here as more than mere vandalism on walls, but as a legitimate artform. Instead of being illegally painted on walls in mainly big cities and communities, a wooden canvas has been created to symbolize the legitimacy of graffiti as a cutting edge urban artform. This demonstration took place at San Francisco's annual Treasure Island Music Festival in September, 2008. It was one of the many artistic displays throughout the event.
